Charles's has a relaxing day.

July 3, 2007
Don't you think he looks like he is enjoying himself? Charles also enjoyed helping us eat our dungeness crab dinner tonight, and he even liked the olive oil, butter and pesto sauce I made to dip it in.
We are still in Sitka, but will be leaving tomorrow morning. We are heading over to the other side of Baranof Island. We will be out of touch for about 4 or 5 days. Until then..... !

Yes Charles does seem to be enjoying himself. Are those your placemats he's lying on???? It looks like Jerry can't get away from repair jobs. Eh? Did you catch the crab or buy it? Everyone seemed to really enjoy the reunion and all the fun activities we did. The last carload left this morning. Phil called this afternoon and I said, "Guess what! I'm the ONLY one here." His reply was, "Well I can fix that right now. I'm on my way to your house." He came and spent about 2 hrs. before he had to go back to work. We want the next one in 2009. Any ideas on where to have it? Kathy, I'll send some pics on an e-mail. I got a few good ones of Ella, Dave and Amy. And of course a bunch of others. Keep having fun and hope the weather holds for you.

Love,
Mom

Charles looks really content. Lucky cat to have owners like you. I hope you have had a good 4 or 5 day sailing. Looking forward to your next blog.

Hi Kathy and Jerry,
Thanks for all your postings - we're enjoying sailing with you.
Does Charles do any work on the boat (laundry, cooking or helping repair things), or is he the comfort and entertainment director?
I vote that we have the next rooniun on your boat.
Sail on!

I knew he would eventually get so used to the sailing life he'd start thinking he was a human ... crab with butter and pesto? what a life!

I just looked through a pile of your past blog posts -- you're really doing a great blog, you guys. Who does most of the writing and posting? Kathy? Jerry? or both of you?

our reunion was a blast -- I wish you had both been there. I vote for the next reunion being on your boat. Whose idea was that? do you think we'll all fit?

stay safe and hope you have great weather for the rest of your splendid journey.

Hello Kathy and Jerry. Charles looks much more at ease than Rudy, my Great Dane, does when onboard. Thank you for sharing your experiences and photos. Many of the shots leave me longing to make a similar journey. I also very much enjoy typing in your co-ordinates on google earth and seeing where you have been. I hope you get to make more use of your sails. Fair winds and following seas.
