Things on a sailboat

These are pictures I have taken along the way and I have created a little guessing game, but only for those of you who really don't know sailboats that well. There are some easy ones, but others you might have to do some research. Starting with the picture at the top left and working your way through like reading a book, which picture goes with....
1 halyards
2 helm
3 hatch
4 boom
5 bow
6 winch
7 captain
8 radar
9 mast
10 dodger
11 flag
12 gimbled cooking device
13 life lines
14 spreader
15 gimbled lamp
16 main sail
Have fun!

Hi Kathy & Jerry,
I lost your e-mail address, so am writing you on the blog. Thank you so much for the card. It's really cool. I like your return address and the stamps are neat too.
Your pictures are great. it's hard to believe you've been gone over a month!
We'll miss you this weekend!

Kathy and Jerry. Sorry me again. that museum is not what I told you it is called. Josee thought i was talking about a museum in shoeswap.
This is just a museum with a coffee shop in skagway, there are attraction flyers what will point it out. Sorry for the confusion. I have not made an attempt yet to guess what is on your boat. Some are logical, but 12 out of the 16 are a puzzle to me. I really have to sit and think about it. And as our son and 7 year old grand daughter are arriving this afternoon from Ontario , I doubt if I can find the time.
I hope so. Hmmmmm, you brought your bicycle's. Yikes. I am from Holland and was forced on those darn things to get to work or what ever. One time Joe and I went on a long trip, I ended up with saddle pain. ( Raw Butt ) to be honest. I was advised to buy a raw beef steak put it inside my underpants and sit on that. That is not a joke, I am serious. That is what they used to do in Holland. So bicycles are not really attractive to me. Rather ride a motor cycle. Okay, I know you had your laugh, but it is not funny when it happens to you. For kilometers I was sitting on that. Coming home we fried it and did eat it. NO, NO, NO, that is just a joke. In the garbage with that steak, but I never went on long trips on a bicycle no more. What a misery. So you know what to do if you end up like I did. Bye for now
Rita.
p/s
Your family and friends must think I am nuts. But those are real stories, they just pop up in my mind when I read or hear things then memories come back, and I don't mind sharing them. Of course we had very hard leather saddles.
So remember no long bicycle rides.

I am SO enjoying reading Rita's comments! heheh ;-D Rita, I don't think you're nuts -- on the contrary, I think you would fit right in with our family. So maybe we're all nuts. I laughed my (butt) off reading about the sore butt remedy. Raw steak? never heard of that, and I guess it would work ... but I don't think I'd want to eat the steak afterwards. hee hee. Maybe our dog, Sam would like it.

Kathy, your blog is great -- you and Jerry are having the time of your life and the blog posts make it so we can keep up with you -- sortof. Vicariously living the high life on a beautiful boat. All of your photos are fantastic, too. keep it up.

The correct sequence of numbers should be:
7 16 14 8
12 13 6 15
9 2 11 5
3 4 10 1
Phil, you got all the answers right! That is pretty good since you have only been on our sailboat one time!
