Arrival at Winter Harbour

Inline image 1
We arrived yesterday afternoon in Winter Harbour after a very wonderful day of sailing down wind on Vancouver Island's west coast. Just wanted to let everyone know where we are!

Hi Kathy & Jerry,
It's good to get your posting and to know that you are finally doing some SAILING! It was very hot here today-almost too hot! Moira and I went out to the Lavender Farm Festival. We did not stay long as it was too, too hot.

The Hospice Society had a fund raiser there. People were buying butterflies and releasing them in the name of someone who had died. There were monarchs and painted ladies. They were all released at the same time and it was quite neat. I wanted to get one but they were all sold out.

I've cleaned up all my garlic but did not get very much. Now I have to get the rest of the cherries off the tree or we'll have a problem with the cherry fly next year. Patrick has not been in touch with me since before the reunion. I'd like him to do the picking. Be safe!
