January 16th

The town of Ajijic taken from the mountain.

We are still puttering around Ajijic, checking out the different areas around town for shopping and seeing the sights. Today we had the pleasure of dog sitting for John and Marie. Murphy was a very good boy while his parents went to Guadalajara for the day. The tile setter was here too finishing up the stairs going up to the mirador. I think by the time we leave here near the end of February, they should be finished renovating the casita for the next people!
We are planning to take a trip to the Pacific coast on Friday and will be back in Ajijic on Sunday or Monday.
Adios!

Hmmm! Are you thinking of getting another dog? I wonder! It looks like the area is pretty dry around Ajijic. Is it?

Hi Kathy and Jerry.
I just now had the time to go on your blog. I been so busy.
I agree with Pat, it looks very dry around Ajijic. I hope you are not dissapointed by going there. Anyhow there is a lot to see and as you mentioned in your previous posting a lot of poverty. A good eye opener to realize what a good life we have.
Yeah I see you both are still longing for a dog. Stephen did get another dog from the SPCA. It was from a big litter 9 puppies. A Lab. I guess the SPCA did rescue the mother while she was pregant. Josee and Vic got it for Stephen as a Christmas present. They only had to pay $259.00 dollars for the pup. Stephen picked the puppy himself and named it Molson. The weather is not bad here. Rainy but the forecast is sunny for tomorrow untill thursday. So that is something to look forward to. I am looking forward to your next posting. I hope you will have lots of fun. Bye for now.
