Ajijic Village again, visiting galleries.

Friday January 8, 2009
Oh, man, I can't believe the weather here! And nobody else can either! It has been cloudy for two days now and the temperature only gets up to about 18 or 19! This really sucks big time. Hopefully we get some nice weather soon, or I am going to have to start taking my vitamin D again!
Alright, enough complaining (typical Canadian), at least it is not -10 and possible snow like my aunt is getting in Florida. Mom and I went back to the village again today for another look around. We went to some shops and galleries we had not been to yesterday. We found a small shop that sells Alebrijes (al e bri heys), which are beautifully painted carved (from copal wood) fanciful animals from small towns in the state of  Oaxaca. It is hard to appreciate the work that goes into these animals, but to give you an idea, the larger pieces can take up to a month to carve. Below is a lion and then close up detail on another sculpture.

Well darn it I don't believe it. Well I have to write you then tomorrow evening if I still have the energy. I am so busy, I had three hospital appointments. the very first one the lady told us you can now have a choice with the anaesthetic like a spine needle or the old fashiioned way. I thought no way I will have a needle in my spine. so when I saw the anaesthticolegist yesterday He sid oh I see you had one knee replacement .I said yeah and he said and you had the spine needle. I said no I did not. He said well it is in your file. I was so stunned and said I don't know anything about it, Nobody gave me a choice. He said, yes you also had a consultation like you have now. I told him I did not remember. and kathy I honestly do not. this doctor must think I have alz heimer. but later on I realized it was 7 weeksa after Joe's passing away. They had a cancelation and gave me an earlier date for March 14. Joe had passed away on Jan 29th. I was like a zombie at that time.

Everything really went passed me. Nothing did sink in what ever anybody said. Anyhow I will be glad when it is over and done with. No fun but it is neccesary.
Rosei is like a wild horse. She is not allowed to jump on the chair or my bed and suppose to take everything easy. Well she jumps on everything and when I wak her outside she runs also. We do keep Molson away from her. her wound looks good. the stiches will desolve the Vet told me I do not have a follow up visit. Unless something would go wrong of course.
Well I better get ready for my bed. I want to clean tomorrow and go to Costco and by the time I get back home, I be like a flat tire just like your car had. I promise I will write you again soon. It's just I am slower and the time goes faster seems to me. so by the time I done with my duties I want to relax.
Love
Rita
